Reaching People. Building lives. That's what we're about!

BFCNaz is a community of ordinary people with diverse backgrounds. We're teachers, contractors, computer operators, engineers, doctors, sales people, unemployed, retirees, and stay-at-home moms. We're black, white, and everything in between. Our community consists of students, young people, singles and families of all shapes and sizes. God has transformed our lives, so we gather together to demonstrate our love for God, love for people, and to serve our local and global communities. Hopefully you can see that you'd fit right in, just like everyone else does.

We'd love for you to check out one of our services (Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM).
We hope to see you soon!

Our Purpose

Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. Our mission is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

The Church of the Nazarene is also a holiness church. We believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over sin, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Our Focus

In order to accomplish our primary purpose of attracting people to Christ and developing people in Christ (The Great Commandment and Commission) - enabling you to take your next step and build your next bridge, we focus on four essentials:

To know Christ in worship for the purpose of restoration.

To study Christ in the word for the purpose of transformation.

To serve Christ in the world for the purpose of incarnation.

To fellowship in the world for the purpose of edification.

Our Approach

In order to accomplish our purpose, the approach to ministry of BFCNaz can be summed up:
Take Your Next Step - Build Your Next Bridge

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
(Mt 22:37-39)
