Day 3
God's Blessing To You:
May the LORD bless you, and keep you. May the LORD make His face to shine upon you... - Numbers 6:24-25a
To a young child, there is almost nothing more satisfying than making a parent proud and seeing their face shine down upon them. This is part of the blessing that God gave to Moses, Aaron, and the other priests to bless Israel.
This wasn't a new concept to the people of Israel either. They had seen it in their leader, Moses. After Moses had spent some time with God on Mt. Sinai, He came back down and His face radiated with the Glory of God. Then, He was used for God's service to God's people.
Notice the order that this happened in.
1. Moses Met with God
2. Moses' face radiated with the Glory of God (It was clear and evident that Moses had met with God)
3. Moses' was used for God's service.
So often in our post-christian culture that rewards business, our relationships can be thrown on the back burner. Including our relationship with God. What service can we really have for God if we are not radiating with His presence, as a result of spending time in His presence? How often do you skip steps 1 and 2, trying to only do step 3?
Today, give yourself permission to slow down for a bit and meet with God. You may just experience his infectious, radiant love and light.

- Call someone who may be lonely or going through a difficult season.
- Pick up litter in your neighborhood or another shared space.
