JUNGLE Kidz purposes to provide ministry to families with children ages 0—Grade 5. We purpose to resource, educate, equip, motivate and inspire parents in the faith formation of their children. We strive to encourage families to live out Deuteronomy 6: 5-9 at home, school, work and in the community, Our goal is for children to come to know God, love God and serve God through the modeling of volunteers who know God, love God and serve God. Our children’s pastor and a host of volunteers provide weekly, monthly and annual opportunities for children and their families to join together with other families for fellowship, teaching and training. All volunteers are carefully chosen. All staff is background checked and provided training in the care and safety of children.
J.U.N.G.L.E. Kinder Worship & KIDZ Worship – Every Sunday 10:45 a.m.
These age appropriate, exciting, fast paced worship services are designed especially for Pre-K – Kindergarten and Grades 1- 5. Through Bible stories, object lessons, puppetry, illusion the Gospel is presented in a way that children can really understand God’s unconditional love and assist them in developing the skills they will need to follow a Christ centered life. Kinder and Kidz Worship is held every Sunday morning worship services.
Children’s Sunday School – 9:30 a.m.
Children’s Sunday School Classes are offered for children ages 2 through 5th grade. Children are grouped by grade/age levels and meet in smaller classrooms. Sunday School provides a small group environment with a focus on Bible study, scripture memorization, life application and building relationships. The lessons are designed to reinforce the values of the home, help children know Jesus.
Nursery/Preschool
Our trains and qualified staff of volunteers loving attend to the needs of the little ones, infant – age 3, each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. They show the love of Jesus through songs, stories and play.
Sunday 5:30 – 7:00p.m.
Each school year 1st Naz first through sixth graders are encouraged to participate in in a small group Bible study. Each week through, Bible memorization, crafts, games, music and drama they prepare to compete in quiz competitions with children from NE Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene. Children’s Quizzing is an exciting way for kids to hide the Word of God in their hearts.
Wednesday 6:30—7:45 p.m. Age 4 — Grade 5
Caravan is a weekly Christian scouting program committed to the social, spiritual, physical and mental growth of children through age-appropriate, hands-on approach that encourages children to discover, develop, experience and grow as Jesus did, “Jesus increased in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52
1st Naz participates with other churches in Bartlesville in Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for children grades 1 – 6. The season begins in November and ends in early March of each year. Opportunities are available for adults to volunteer as coaches, referees, announcers and scorekeepers.
Vacation Bible School
For one week each summer, Bartlesville 1st Naz comes alive with the sounds of Vacation Bible School (VBS). The family life center is transformed into a living testament to the enthusiasm and creativity with which we minister to children and their families. Kids bring their families and neighborhood friends to learn about Jesus through fun-filled, attention grabbing activities and creative lessons. It’s an action packed week for children preschool through grade 5.
Children's Summer Camp
Each summer Bartlesville 1st Naz children join with children from across Northeast Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene for a four day weekend camp. For many children, this camp is the highlight of the summer. They enjoy a great weekend of fun, activities and experience God in a unique atmosphere away from home and build friendships that last a lifetime.
